Yo Bro! Come on over and we’ll get you set up with a customized Somatics-Resistance stretching program. Stretching is vital, but it needs to be done with simultaneous strengthening of muscles through the full range of motion.
Stretching alone will be somewhat effective in removing tensions, but the stabilizers and opposing divisions will…

Strength training – I have found Paul Wade’s Convict Conditioning extremely helpful.
https://aetherea.life/strength-training/
Paul was an actual convict, and put his time to good use. His system is based on body weight training. You only need one piece of equipment – a pullup bar – for conditioning. His method is extremely well designed.…

For aiding recovery, Arnica montana in homeopathic form, is extremely helpful. 30c is a good potency. It can be found in any health food store, and some pharmacies. It can be taken before a really hard workout, and then after.

Great discussion here. Thank you to @amber.lansford for the Original Strength recommendation. I will be checking that out soon. I’m going to break up my reply into a couple of parts.

I love what you say about timing with carbs here. Really something I need to be a bit more conscious of, so thanks for sharing that. I forgot about what I’ve learned about carb cycling, and timing!
Gosh, there’s just so…

Sounds like you have found the right balance. I also spent many years really avoiding carbs stringently and that does work against you long term. But you can be clever with them using timing, mainly consuming them with the post workout meal, avoiding the processed grains, and generally keeping to a lowish amount if it suits you better. You…

Hi Penny,
Thank you for the beautiful reminder. In 2017 I was teaching women about reclaiming our menstrual cycle, and working with it…having just learned about this in 2014. It was a powerful source of empowerment for me.
I did apply it somewhat to exercise and nutrition, although not to the extent you have outlined here, so thank you for…
