Oh boy! That is some deep and exhausting (yet extremely beautiful) reading right there haha! let me know how it goes. whenever I try to read Plotinus or Porphyry my eyelids start to get heavy about 30 mins in!! haha

If I had to venture a guess I’d say a rationalist! I’m not well versed in “ists” and “isms”, so hopefully I got the right word haha. He made an argument for the existence of God as the source of All, using rational arguments. To me at least, it seemed he had the same idea of God as the hermetics, but without the occulted esoterics.

The Public Square 2 years agoJung’s Individuation vs Individualism is a nice stepping stone towards gnosis and The Way but even Jung lacks the fuller understanding IMO of the full triune human… (I enjoy this guy’s podcast too in case you guys werent aware of it. Recently doscovered it!)

Jung was my gateway drug into spiritual practice, back when I was dabbling in mainstream philosophy and psychology with figures like Nietzsche, Jordan Peterson, Albert Camus, etc. So I’ve got a soft spot for the old wizard. Hi Mike et al, doesn’t individuation (also) mean the process whereby a discrete consciousness is formed by, say, its splitting off from the Original Source; such as each human being having their own discrete consciousness? A person’s unique individuality is an outcome of this.
