@david.gilman the edge that I especially like to your vision is the bio geometry. Here is the Belfast eco village that I referred to: https://mainecohousing.org

First of all – I really love the way Dave described it too – beautiful. And – yea, this is a private, residence only community and I was visiting just because it was Jed’s dad. He is actually a contractor / builder by trade and has renovated old meditation retreats and stuff. – I can’t actually remember the name of it…they do have concerts…

So, Jed’s dad actually did this in Maine. The houses are super energy efficient and small, there is a communal professional kitchen, event space building (I stayed in a little air b n b bedroom that they have there when I visited) and it is bordered by a bazillion wildlife acres. Cars park in the outside, gardens everywhere and a whole slew of…

Good day all–I am loving this discussion and am imagining an alchemical marriage of communing and privatizing, which might organize private domains around a central community space with a garden and a beautiful, biogeometrically designed Hearth space with kitchen and music-dance- movement- meditation area, and perhaps all aligned in…

My partner…

Nice, fantastic ideas! Another idea you sparked is a piece of land could be bought as a group, then subdivided after closing so everyone has their own defined piece and it doesn’t turn into a hippie commune situation.

Wow – Hugh – thank you for explaining that so well. I owe you one!

Yes, with the land patent, you actually own the land. Takes some doing though. The only reason agencies can enforce building codes and tax is because your deed and all the deeds before you are contracts that put the land into the US corporation jurisdiction. Acquiring a land patent rather than just owning the land? I think that that’s a sovereignty thing? I just wanted to make a lot of it because someone mentioned it today – cultivate elevate I think.
