I don’t know much about that, but I’m thinking the same thing you are…create a bond and self-insure somehow. I’m also not there yet, but I would love to hear what you find and I’ll share if I find anything.

Wow Hugh, this is a ton of what looks like useful information. As for mortgages, insurance companies aren’t writing policies these daze, at least not in California. Any suggestions there? I’ve thought of creating a bond, but that’s way more advanced than I’m at, at the moment.

I think that that is a great idea and I have a property that I’d like to share in the same way in Massachusetts! So that property is our friends’ place that is pretty awesome. They bought it during the peak of COVID to escape LA but couldn’t quite cope with the isolation out there, esp with young ones and Alec being an artist and social animal.
