Last year, when I posted to celebrate one year of being parked here, I received so many questions about the beginning of our story, like how we came to bus life in the first place. • I made a note to myself that next time I remade and updated this particular post, I would include more of those early years, the parts only the people who have followed since the beginning know. • So all that to say - hi, I’m Tawny. Once upon a time I left a career in nursing to build a gym with my husband, and then five years later, closed the gym and sold everything we owned to pursue our dream of full-time travel in a converted school bus turned tiny home. After another five of travel, we finally settled in a small corner of the Missouri woods, where we raise goats and chickens and ducks and are doing our best to become as self-sustainable as possible here on our little homestead. • The last ten years have held a pretty mixed bag of blessings and heartache, but when I look back at the decade of work and dreams and risks and hard decisions and sheer dumb luck that led us here - I’d do it all again, to arrive back in this spot 💕 . . . . . #buslife #skoolie #homesteadlife | Since We Woke Up

I was blessed to own 3 amazing homes; the first was a 1730 gatehouse and farm! I’ll post a pic when I can locate it 🙂 The two 1880 Victorian buildings have been rentals and the last 2 I have lived in since CV 2020. I somehow got the front two stories of it; including a 40′ sewn solid oak turned staircase…I need to take some pics soon,…

I know these sorts are a dime a dozen on YouTube but this one does actually feel AV, and the ways he used ash/lye/rock/tiles as building materials was good, they are humorous and I appreciate their vision to help young adults enter adulthood with mentorship…so it seemed like a nice oeuvre of inspiration to store here for safe keeping 🙂
