Ask Deb 3 months agoSorrell
Howdy Deb! Happy holidays! Barre mentioned sheep sorrel and how important the tiny roots were to its medicinal value. I’ve hunted for info for a year to no avail. I’d love to know where to buy the seeds, etc. or even just any resource you’d have used to learn about it. Thank you so much, for everything! Sincerely, Eliza

Eliza,
Here is a link for excellent information on rumex acetosella (sheep sorrel). It has a wide variety of medicinal benefits as well as culinary use. It grows like a weed here on our land. When first here I thought it was a weed. Once growing and allowed to flower and throw seeds it will keep spreading in your garden. I use it as a…

They are trying to continue to have green shoots, but are dissipating near the trunk, some wood so dry the…

Ask Deb 9 months agoHi Deb, many thanks again to you and Dr. Barre for the great Garden Zoom chat Monday eve. During it, you and Dr. Barre mentioned a ‘Book of Decrees’. (We were chatting about neutralizing chemtrails.) Also about SUSTAINING this space of ‘free clean air’ without constant intervention.
I’m curious about this ‘Book of Decrees’? Is it a book I…

Many years ago in the US South where I live, most fences were made of old cedar trees. They lasted forever it seemed. And, of course back then every farm had lots of trees on their land, including cedars. Just a thought to share.

Use metal T-bars and wire through them to keep berry canes off the ground. If you want to use wood posts, use black locust if you can get it, second would be cedar. Everything will degrade eventually as is necessary in the cycle of life.

Hiya, I’m just a learner but I’ve just bought some untreated cedarwood raissd planters as cedarwood is supposed to be naturally resistant to both insect damage and rot and having done a quick Google it looks like cedarwood fence posts exist in the world too 😊 though you’d have to make sure they’re not tanalised/pressure treated. I guess there… Read more

I’m wanting to put posts and wires to trellis my berries in a non toxic way. I’m wondering how to keep wood posts from rotting and if copper wire will work and any other electrculture friendly suggestions
Thanks
Dorothy
