Thanks Sheri! I’ll check that out. Vagus nerve makes sense as a contributing factor. I can have an attack when stressed too.

    Hello Sarah,

I have a similar situation. For me it’s along the lines of silent reflux/LPR and I’m guessing the root cause is emotional…stress, traumatic experiences. These issues started prior to menopause, which didn’t help! I’ve done a lot of digging, experimenting, etc. with no permanent resolution. I’m about half way through the…

    Hi Barre

Will the Illumined Digest help with GERD? I have had non acidic, non heartburn reflux since menopause (16 years!😖). It’s that feeling of regurgitation making me want to clear my throat, and sometimes cough. I can have a bout regardless of what I eat, don’t eat, when I eat, fast, etc.. If I just partly recline it starts up. Lying down…

    Hi Tanya,

This is excellent, I love Dr. Vollmer. I’m going to give this a listen right now. And yes, the vets operate by statistics and rarely take the individual into account. Even now, when I see my dog not doing as well as she had been the day before, his words automatically ring in my ears. Definitely trying to be more aware of that. Thanks again.

    Hi Penny,

Thanks for all this great information. I am using a fermented mushroom blend for her but I think I’ll start incorporating the pumpkin. I add a pumpkin fiber mix to her food but the one you suggested looks much better. And the CBD and Bach remedy looks pretty useful too. There is a vet locally who does at-home euthanasia. I…

I am so sorry to hear! Breaks my heart when our pets get sick. Sounds like you’ve been using some great protocols already, and have received lots of great advice too.

    1. I’d also suggest checking out this video by ADV, a holistic protocol for dogs with cancer, she has some really good tips on cleaning the blood, diet, detox, etc….…

Just a quick suggestion too. Hopefully you won’t need something such as this for years down the road. However I am a big believer in home euthanasia of pets when the time comes. It’s a game changer for people and their beloved animal family members. In the past I have worked with Lap of Love and they are kind, compassionate, understanding and…

    Hi Eddie,

I noticed you have pup on a raw food diet, which I was going to suggest. The only caveat is to make sure you de-worm regularly. As a vet nurse I noticed that animals on raw food often ended up with intestinal worms. It’s merely the nature of the game. Even human meat is riddled with such problems, humans just cook their food.

    I have…
